On Friday, December 2, 2011 Montero Medical Missions was officially announced by its Founder and President, Dr. Juan M. Montero II before an enthusiastic crowd at Towne Hall-Towne Bank reception in Chesapeake, Virginia. Bulgaria was the featured country, being the host of its flagship MMM EyeSight Program medical mission in spring, 2012. Honduras, Peru, Ghana, Vietnam, Philippines, Jamaica are in the pipeline, once target fundings are realized.
The following board members highlighted the evening's event with their respective presentations: Galia Kouzmanova on the country of Bulgaria; Dr. Peyton Neatrour on his family's poignant, life-changing experience of last July's medical mission in the Philippines and Chance Wilson on his overall event management as Chairman of Marketing and Development Committee.
