Local Book Store Raises Over $1,500 For Montero Medical Missions.

The event was held Saturday, September 17 from 9AM-5PM. All paperbacks and childrens books were 50 cents each. All hardcovers, CDs, VHS & DVDs were $1 each. Everything that you can fit into a regular sized plastic grocery bag of any combination of these items for $7. All proceeds went to the non-profit charity: Montero Medical Missions. All 6000+ items were donated by customers of the Book Exchange and the store itself. These were all fresh books, movies and music. The sale was held on the covered sidewalk in front of the Book Exchange at 116 E. Little Creek Rd. in Norfolk.  Over 1,500 dollars was raised for the organization.
